Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an SST for every SkyCommand job?
You do not install an SST at each site. It is a technician tool. Hunter recommends it so you confirm LoRa coverage before burying BOCs and setting repeater locations.
Does the SST replace Centralus?
No. SST is field RF diagnostics. Programming, flow, moisture, and reporting stay in Centralus after the UCH is online.
Will SST work with Hunter WVL?
SkyCommand SST is documented for SkyCommand setup. WVL has its own wireless valve workflow. Use SST when you are laying out BOC / UCH / RPT paths.
Is the SST weatherproof?
Hunter rates it IP55 for handheld field use. It is not an IP68 submersible like the BOCs.
