Hunter A2C-LORA — The LoRa Radio That Reaches SkyCommand BOCs

The Hunter A2C-LORA is the 915 MHz LoRa field-communication module for North American SkyCommand. It clicks into either slot of the UCH and talks directly to battery-operated BOC controllers. The remaining slot is reserved for one cloud module (A2C-WIFI, A2C-LAN, or A2C-LTEM). Screw the antenna on the module, or use ANT-EXT-KIT to put the antenna outdoors. Hunter states A2C-LORA is not currently compatible with ACC2 — UCH hubs only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will A2C-LORA plug into my ACC2?
No. Hunter’s A2C-LORA installation guide says the module is not currently compatible with ACC2. It is only for the SkyCommand UCH.

Do I still need A2C-WIFI if I buy A2C-LORA?
A2C-LORA is the field radio. You still need one cloud module (Wi-Fi, LAN, or LTE) in the other UCH slot so Centralus can reach the site.

Where should the LoRa antenna go?
Outdoors. If the UCH is indoors, or you want better coverage, use ANT-EXT-KIT. Do not exceed 25 ft of antenna cable.

What does a red LED under the module mean?
A solid red LED means module error. Hunter says replace the module. Amber is provisioning; solid green is ready; fast green blink is traffic.
