01

Pick the night

Orange and purple. Red and green. Blue and white. Silver and gold.

02

Strings or C9

Mini lights plug in. C9 bulbs twist into socket wire you cut to the eave or walk.

03

Clip it and time it

Clip the wire to the roof, stake the walk, and turn the run off during the day.

01

Halloween yard lights

Purple and orange read as Halloween from the sidewalk. Use a finished string on shrubs, or C9 bulbs on socket wire along the porch.

02

Christmas lights for the yard

Red, green, multi-color, and warm white cover trees, eaves, and the front walk. Wreaths and garland finish the door and rail.

03

Hanukkah yard lights

Blue and cool white are the Hanukkah pair. A blue string on the shrubs and cool-white C9 bulbs on the walk read clearly at night.

04

Kwanzaa yard lights

Red and green are the Kwanzaa colors we stock in both strings and C9 bulbs. This line does not include a black bulb.

05

New Year’s Eve lights

Silver-and-gold mini lights plus cool white carry a New Year’s display without swapping the whole Christmas install.

06

Wire, clips, stakes, and a timer

Strings plug in as they are. A C9 run needs socket wire, a plug on each cut end, clips or stakes, and something to turn the display off at sunrise.

07

Lighting that stays up after the holidays

A 12 volt bistro kit hangs on a patio and ties into landscape lighting. It is the piece to leave installed when the seasonal strings come down.

Questions from the counter

Which outdoor lights should I buy for Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or New Year’s Eve?

Halloween uses purple and orange. Christmas uses red, green, multi-color, and warm white, plus wreaths and garland. Hanukkah uses blue and cool white. Kwanzaa uses red and green. New Year’s Eve uses silver-and-gold and cool white. Each section on this page links the matching products we stock.

Do I need C9 bulbs and socket wire, or a finished light string?

A 70-count string is ready to plug in. It is about 24 feet long with lights every 4 inches. C9 bulbs are sold in packs of 25 and need green C9 socket wire. Use the 100 foot wire for a porch or walk, or the 1,000 foot reel for a larger yard. Slide-on plugs finish a custom cut.

How do I line a walkway or a roof?

Push a holiday light stake into the ground and set a C9 socket in the clip for a pathway. For a roof edge, use the all-in-one light clips on shingles or gutters. Icicle strands hang from the eave: each strand is 7.5 feet, with drops of 19, 14, and 9 inches.

How many light strings can I plug together?

These 120 volt mini-light strands are listed to connect up to 45 sets end to end. Stay inside that limit, use an outdoor-rated plug, and put the run on a timer so the display turns off during the day.

Can I leave holiday lights up all year?

These C9 bulbs, mini lights, icicles, wreaths, and garland are seasonal displays. Take them down after the holiday. For lighting that stays up, use a 12 volt bistro kit on a landscape lighting transformer, or an outdoor Wi-Fi plug on a permanent fixture circuit.

What does a C9 bulb draw?

Each faceted C9 LED bulb draws about 0.84 watts, is dimmable, and is rated around 60,000 hours. A 25-pack is the refill size for the socket wire we sell.
