The Hunter BOC-SOL is the solar option for SkyCommand battery-operated controllers. It includes a weather-resistant panel, an internal LiFePO4 pack, a 40 ft (12 m) cable, a replacement BOC compartment cap, and a universal bracket for wall or pole mounting (5/16 in stainless band clamps, supplied locally). Remove the alkaline D-cells, click the solar connector into the BOC, and aim the panel at all-day sun.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I leave the D-cell batteries in when I add BOC-SOL?
No. Hunter says remove the alkaline batteries (and you may remove the whole battery holder to save space). The solar kit replaces that power source.
How long is the BOC-SOL cable?
40 feet (12 m) from the BOC in the valve box to the panel. Unroll the cable first; the replacement compartment cap will not fit through a small conduit.
Can one BOC-SOL power two controllers?
No. Each BOC-SOL is a solar source for one BOC. Order one kit per controller you want off alkaline cells.
Is BOC-SOL the same as SPNODE-BT or SP-WVL?
No. Those kits power NODE-BT or WVL. BOC-SOL is the SkyCommand BOC-specific panel and compartment cap. Do not mix families.
