Why this valve is hard to find
The Hunter HPV-100G is a discontinued 1″ FNPT globe valve. Hunter retired the SRV and HPV residential valve lines in the mid-2000s and replaced them with the current PGV family. Hunter still stocks one HPV service part — the solenoid assembly — and the last HPV product literature Hunter published (LIT-224) is dated 5/06, which is the best public marker for when the line was wound down.
If you are searching for a Hunter HPV replacement, an HPV vs PGV comparison, or a valve stamped HPV-100-G-NI, you are on the right page. We are selling sealed New Old Stock HPV-100G valves from factory packaging — not used pulls — in singles and contractor cases of 20. Read the family table and cross-reference below before you order, then see the full HPV discontinued replacement guide.

Original HPV family — identify your valve
Hunter built four core HPV bodies. Only the HPV-100G (1″ globe, no flow control) is on this listing. If your valve is a different row, do not assume this part is a drop-in.
| Model | Config | Flow control |
|---|---|---|
| HPV-100G | 1″ globe | No |
| HPV-101G | 1″ globe | Yes |
| HPV-100A | 1″ angle | No |
| HPV-101A | 1″ angle | Yes |
Factory options were S (slip × slip, globe only) and B (BSP threads). User-installed options were R (reclaimed-water handle), DC (DC latching solenoid), and CC (solenoid conduit cover).
There was never an “NI” factory option. If a work order, as-built, or distributor invoice shows HPV-100-G-NI, that suffix came from a distributor inventory system — not Hunter. The part is a standard HPV-100G.
What if I need a different part?
Two clear paths. Pick the one that matches the job — not the one that is merely in stock.

Replacing the whole valve on a legacy HPV system.
Hunter’s current 1″ FNPT globe successors are the PGV-100G (no flow control) and PGV-101G (with flow control). They drop into the same 1″ FNPT footprint. We do not currently list a PGV-100G on this site; the closest 1″ PGV valves we stock today are the PGV-101A 1″ angle with flow control and the PGV-100MB 1″ globe, male thread × barb. Need a true 1″ FNPT globe PGV quoted? Contact us — or read the HPV → PGV replacement guide. -
Just rebuilding an existing HPV.
Hunter still stocks the solenoid assembly: 606800 (AC) and 458200 (DC latching). The rest of the HPV rebuild stack is gone — bonnet266602/266702, diaphragm266902, spring266000, support ring265000, bonnet screw266100. We do not carry those internals. If the body is cracked or the diaphragm has failed, the honest fix is a new valve (this NOS HPV-100G, or a PGV successor), not a hunt for discontinued rubber.
Hunter HPV-100G FAQ
Is the Hunter HPV valve still made?
No. Hunter discontinued the HPV and SRV lines. Current support documentation treats HPV as discontinued, with the solenoid assembly as the only HPV part Hunter still stocks. The last HPV literature (LIT-224) is dated 5/06.
What replaced the Hunter HPV?
The Hunter PGV family replaced HPV. For a 1″ FNPT globe with no flow control, the current equivalent is PGV-100G. For flow control, use PGV-101G. See our HPV discontinued replacement guide for the full family table.
What does the “NI” in HPV-100-G-NI mean?
Nothing from Hunter. There was never an NI factory option on HPV. HPV-100-G-NI is a distributor ERP formatting of the standard HPV-100G. If that string is on your paperwork, this valve is the part.
Will a PGV-100G fit where my HPV-100G was?
Yes for a 1″ FNPT globe body — PGV-100G uses the same 1″ female NPT inlet/outlet footprint. Confirm you do not actually have an angle body (HPV-100A / HPV-101A) or slip/BSP threads before you order a globe replacement.
Is New Old Stock still under warranty?
Manufacturer warranty on discontinued NOS is expired. This listing is a clearance / discontinued item. Per our Returns & Refund Policy, clearance items are non-returnable, and used or installed valves are not accepted. You have 14 days after delivery to request a return on eligible (non-clearance) items that are unused and in original packaging; restocking up to 30% plus credit-card fees may apply. If a unit arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us immediately with photos — do not install it.
Maintaining a property with legacy Hunter HPV valves?
Buy the case of 20 and stop chasing these one at a time. Service companies that still have HPV bodies in the ground on commercial and HOA sites run out of singles between calls. Limited remaining stock — this valve is no longer manufactured.
