The Febco LF850-QT-FZ is a Lead Free* double check valve assembly (DCA) for non-health-hazard (non-toxic) backflow protection — pollutant containment on potable systems where code requires protection from backpressure and backsiphonage. This is the 1-1/2 in. FPT model.
- Lead-free* cast copper silicon alloy body
- Two independent spring-loaded in-line check valves
- Quarter-turn ball-valve shutoffs and four top-mounted test cocks
- Rated 175 psi, 32°F–140°F
- In-line serviceable; no special tools
- 1-1/2 in. FPT (NPT) end connections
Note: A double check (DCA) is for non-toxic / non-health-hazard applications. For high-hazard (toxic) protection use an RPZ such as the 825Y / LF825Y.
Sensor note: Includes a factory-installed freeze sensor (SentryPlus Alert®) that signals when the temperature nears freezing. The sensor is passive on its own — it requires an add-on connection kit (BMS, cellular, or Wi-Fi, sold separately) to actually transmit alerts.
