STS Turf

STS Turf, from Sustainable Turf Science, makes liquid nutrients for turfgrass. Big Irrigation stocks one STS Turf product: 8% Iron Chelate, SKU STS-IRON8-2.5GAL, in a 2.5-gallon jug.

The liquid contains 8% iron from chelated iron sources, with plant-beneficial organic acids, fermentation extracts, humic and fulvic acids, amino acids, vitamins, and enzymes. Solu-Plus is part of the formula. The solution pH is 6.5, and the jug weighs about 10 pounds per gallon.

The manufacturer label lists foliar use on cool-season and warm-season turf at 1.0 to 3.0 ounces per 1,000 square feet, soil application at 2.0 to 3.0 ounces per 1,000 square feet, and injection or fertigation at 1.0 to 2.0 quarts per acre. Read the label on the jug for mixing, rates, storage, and safety.
