Do I need the mini-receiver (CL-MR) to use the CL-R1?
No. The CL-R1 communicates directly with the Climate Logic receiver module (CL-M1) that is already part of your Climate Logic system. The mini-receiver is only needed if you do not have Climate Logic and want to use the R-100-KIT remote set with a compatible controller.
How far can the CL-R1 reach?
The CL-R1 has a rated signal range of 1,000 feet line-of-sight. Walls, buildings, and heavy vegetation can reduce effective range.
What battery does the CL-R1 use?
A standard 9-volt battery (not included). To install, remove the three screws from the battery cover on the back, snap the battery onto the clip, and reattach the cover.
Can I use the CL-R1 with a Hunter controller?
The CL-R1 is designed for Irritrol and Toro controllers that are compatible with the Climate Logic system. Hunter controllers use a different remote protocol (ROAM) and are not compatible with the CL-R1.
