No. Quote LNK2WIFI plus a Rain Bird rain sensor (WR2-48) on a compatible controller. Confirm the combination on your water district's list.

Does WR2 work without LNK2?

Yes. It is a rain shutoff on the sensor terminals. WaterSense weather-based control still needs the app path (LNK2 or RC2) plus weather adjust.

Wired rain sensor instead of WR2?

A listed Rain Bird rain sensor can satisfy the sensor line. WR2-48 is the wireless SKU we stock so there is no trench to the controller.
