What is the ESP-Me LNK2 cutoff date?

Rain Bird specifies ESP-Me manufactured after November 2, 2016 with the LNK Ready mark. We use that date at the counter.

Is a pre-2016 ESP-Me the same as ESP-Modular?

For LNK2, yes — neither takes the module. The replacement clock is ESP-ME3.

Can I move old ESP-Me modules into an ME3?

No. Use ESP-SM3 and ESP-SM6 sold for ESP-ME3.

Replace a pre-2016 ESP-Me — LNK2 will not fit

ESP-Me built before November 2, 2016 (or any ESP-Me without the LNK Ready mark) cannot take LNK2WIFI. The modern replacement on this shop is ESP-ME3 plus LNK2WIFI. If the door clearly shows LNK Ready and the manufacture date is after 2 Nov 2016, keep the cabinet and only buy the module — use the fit guide. Send a door photo if you are not sure.
