Question 1

How do I expand the HCC-800 beyond 8 zones?

Accepted Answer

The HCC-800 has 6 module slots. Each accepts a 4-station module. The base unit includes 2 modules (8 zones). To expand, simply purchase additional HCC 4-station modules and plug them into the available slots — up to a maximum of 54 zones.

Question 2

Can the HCC-800 be pedestal-mounted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The HCC-800 can be wall-mounted or installed in a Hunter irrigation controller pedestal for freestanding installation in landscapes where wall mounting isn't practical.

Question 3

Does the HCC-800 support 240V power?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The HCC-800 features dual voltage support, accepting both 120V and 240V AC input. This makes it suitable for both domestic US installations and international projects.

Question 4

What's the difference between the HCC-800 and the Pro-HC?

Accepted Answer

The HCC-800 is a modular commercial controller expandable to 54 zones with a heavy-duty stainless steel cabinet and dual voltage support. The Pro-HC is a fixed-zone professional controller (6/12/24 zones) in a lighter stainless enclosure. The HCC-800 is designed for larger, more complex commercial installations.
